Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is commonly known as “CBT”
CBT is a highly researched therapy model that has been shown to be very effective in treating a large variety of mental health disorders including, but not limited to, anxiety and depression.
CBT was the treatment model that I was originally trained in during graduate school. I have learned many other strategies and treatment models since then, but I tend to stick closely to this model and use the core techniques often with almost all of my clients.
