I offer psychotherapy and counseling services for teens (16+), and adults experiencing a wide variety of mental health or emotional difficulties. I believe that every person can benefit from psychotherapy, no matter how small or large their issues may be.
I work with people that have diagnosable mental health disorders, including but not limited to:
- Substance Use Disorders
- Major Depressive Disorder
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder
- Social Anxiety Disorder
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Bipolar Disorder
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
I also help people who are generally healthy and typically function quite well but are going through various life stressors that can create emotional challenges, including but not limited to:
- Divorce or break-up from a relationship
- Change in career
- Financial stress
- Death of a loved one
- Moving to a new area
- Sexual difficulties
Many of my clients utilize therapy as a means of self improvement even if they aren’t experiencing any particular challenges in their lives at the time. These individuals value having a safe and non-judgmental environment to reflect on their experiences, explore their personal goals, and get to know themselves on a very deep level.
The duration of therapy will vary depending on the issue that you are seeking treatment for. Many of my clients see improvements in how they feel and how they are functioning within 8-12 sessions, and sometimes even less. However, some clients with long-standing personality difficulties, extensive trauma history, or chronic mental health conditions may require treatment for months or even years to manage their conditions.
